The majority of Canadians did not vote the Conservative party into power. Their votes were split among the other major players. This coalition is NOT a Liberal majority. It is not an NDP majority. It is not a Bloc majority. It is an agreement among those three parties which can bring the overlapping ideals of the majority of Canadians together for a change. This could be the only way to achieve a true compromise which represents the largest number of Canadians.
- Liberal voters who say "but I did not vote NDP!" -- this is not an NDP-led government, it is a compromise which will allow overlapping goals to be attained.
- NDP voters who say "but I did not vote Liberal!" -- this is not a Liberal-led government, it is a compromise which will allow overlapping goals to be attained.
- Conservative voters who say "this is a power grab and should be illegal!" -- this is how our system legally works. When the leader of the minority party cannot accept how a minority works, and refuses to compromise (which is the spirit of a minority government), then a compromise must be reached in other ways.
- Anyone who says "Aligning with separatists shows a desire to tear the country apart" -- this agreement will serve to bring the country together, not tear it apart. Collectively, the coalition represents the greatest number of voters and spreads the widest spectrum of interests. This is about Canada, not about partisanship.
